“Let the rain sing you a lullaby.” ~Langston Hughes

It is raining...again. It’s wet...again. It’s gloomy...again. After lamenting this constant rain in a text to my husband, he wrote back, “You will have to create your own brighteners.” That got me thinking. What could I do to brighten this dreary day? So I made a list....

1. Play loud music and dance with abandonment in the living room.
2. Find a great new show on Netflix.
3. Sit at the door with my cats and watch the rain.
4. Find a worthy charity online and donate.
5. Work on a Pinterest craft.
7. Practice yoga.
8. Turn on every light in the house.
9. Write a letter to a friend.
10. Read something inspiring.
11. Grab my umbrella and take a walk in the rain.
12. Love this life I have been given.

I can make my own sunshine, even if the weather forecast is bleak.

“The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain.” ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
